Beth lives in the Boston, Massachusetts area. An avid traveler, she's often exploring parts of the US and Canada with her husband and mini poodle Kip in their Airstream travel trailer or flying across the pond to explore European countries. Always armed with her writing implements, Beth often incorporates elements of her travel experiences in her writing.

Responding to a call for submissions on the theme "Body as Archive," I revisit a devastating medical event that prompted me to become a partner in my healthcare rather than a participant on the sidelines. It is a change that has prevented me from experiencing more devastating diagnoses. Published by Thorn & Bloom Magazine.
This personal essay explores the devastating effect of late pregnancy loss I experienced over thirty years ago, at a time when the term "birth trauma" didn't exist. This tragedy affected the very core of my soul and I'll never be over it. But it did prepare me to handle other major events in my life - because I'd lived through the worst.
